Compare Our 3 Shirt Types
Our 3 Shirt Types Have Different Characteristics —
Here's A Detailed Explainer What They Are, So You Can Order with Confidence
Not all shirts are the same — that’s why we offer 3 carefully selected options.
There are dozens of t-shirt types we could offer — but we’ve tested them all and narrowed it down to three shirts that work best for our customers.
Each has its own unique fit, fabric weight, texture, and price point — and we’ve chosen them to serve very different needs.
This guide explains the differences clearly and in plain English. It’s here to keep things fully transparent, eliminate surprises, and help you choose the right shirt for your needs.
Whether you’re after a thick, heavyweight tee or something nice and light for hot weather — it’s all covered here.
By using this guide, there’s no reason to end up with a Lightweight shirt when you wanted a Heavyweight one (or vice versa).
Please take a moment to read through it. We want you to order with complete confidence.
1. Light Weight
Our most popular, everyday shirt — used for 16 of our 18 years* in business. Great value and specifically chosen for its lightweight feel and relaxed cut — the perfect tee for warm weather and daily wear.
* Why not 18 years out of 18? We had to pause this model during the pandemic when supply shortages meant it was unavailable in Europe. As soon as it returned, we brought it back. Otherwise we'd have sold it the whole time. We love this shirt!
- Loose, relaxed fit
- Lightweight cotton (145 g/m²)
- Soft and breathable
- Pre-shrunk for reliable sizing
- Printed to order — great for daily wear or travel
- Lowest price point in our range
Model used: Gildan “Softstyle”
Product Fit: Relaxed / Slightly Boxy
Sleeves: Standard loose sleeves
Who’s it for? You want a solid, everyday tee at a fair price. Ideal for warm weather, holidays, or laid-back wear.
Who’s it not for? You want a thick, structured shirt or expect a premium-level finish. This is a lightweight, relaxed tee — not a heavyweight or luxury model.
Fabric Smoothness: Softer and smoother than our Heavyweight option, the Gildan 'Ultra Cotton'. This shirt uses ringspun cotton for a more refined feel. It’s a lightweight shirt with a noticeably smoother surface, but not as silky or high-end as our premium organic model. If you want something soft without paying to go full luxury, this is the one to choose.
Anything Else? This shirt is made from lightweight, ringspun cotton, chosen specifically for its softness, breathability, and relaxed feel — especially in warmer climates. Because it’s lighter than standard tees, some customers may feel the fabric is “too thin” if they were expecting a thick, heavy shirt. This isn’t a fault — it’s exactly how this shirt is designed.
If you prefer a thicker or more structured cotton, we recommend choosing our Heavyweight or Premium Organic models instead.
Go ahead, state the obvious: Let’s not overthink it, Lightweight = Thin. That’s what makes it lightweight.
2. Heavyweight
Thicker feel — structured, solid, and made to last.
- Loose fit
- Heavier cotton (approx. 200 g/m²)
- Classic, boxier shape
- Durable and long-lasting
- Closer to a traditional vintage tee
Model used: Gildan “Ultra”
Product Fit: Boxy / Traditional
Sleeves: Wider, looser sleeves
Who’s it for? You want a tougher, chunkier tee with more structure — great for cooler weather or if you prefer a more rugged feel. This model is a very well-known brand you likely own a few of already.
Who’s it not for? You’re expecting softness or a sleek finish. This shirt is built thick for durability. It’s not for you if you want a smooth or lightweight fabric.
Fabric Smoothness: This shirt has a coarser, more textured feel due to the open-end, loose-spun cotton used in its construction. If you're looking for a smooth or soft-touch finish, one of our other models will be a better fit. This model is chosen for its heavyweight durability and solid structure — not for softness.
Anything Else? Due to the type of loose-spun, open-end cotton used in this shirt, the ink tends to absorb more deeply into the fabric than on tighter-knit styles.
Why does that matter? It means the final print will appear slightly less bright and vibrant than on our smoother shirt models — especially when compared to our Premium Organic range. This is not a fault — it’s a direct result of the fabric’s texture and how it interacts with ink.
If maximum colour intensity is important to you, we recommend choosing a shirt with a finer weave.
Go ahead, state the obvious: Heavier = Rougher Fabric. That’s just how cotton works. If you want soft, pick a lighter shirt.
3. Premium Organic
Modern fitted cut — premium fabric with a softer finish.
- Slimmer Euro-style fit with shaped sleeves
- Midweight 100% organic cotton (approx. 180 g/m²)
- Smoother, softer feel
- Eco-conscious production
- Runs slightly smaller — check size guide
Model used: Stanley/Stella “Creator 2.0”
Product Fit: Fitted / Euro-style
Sleeves: Slimmer, shaped sleeves
Who’s it for? You prefer a more fitted, fashion-forward look with premium feel and sustainability baked in. Think clean silhouette, soft handfeel, and sharper edges. It’s our best quality shirt by a mile — you won't be disappointed.
Who’s it not for? You want a loose fit, vintage-style American tee, or a low-cost option. This shirt runs slimmer and is more premium in both price and style — for good reason.
Fabric Smoothness: This is the smoothest and softest shirt we offer. Made from combed, ringspun organic cotton, the fabric has a premium feel — soft to the touch with a clean, even finish. It’s a step up from standard cotton tees and ideal if you prefer a high-end, silky texture. If fabric quality is your top priority, this is the one to go for.
Anything Else? This shirt has a modern, tailored cut and runs slightly smaller than typical US-sized tees. It’s made with combed, ringspun organic cotton, which gives it a smooth and high-end feel — but that also means it doesn’t have the same loose drape or casual fit as standard tees. If you’re expecting a boxy, vintage-style fit, this one might feel too snug.
This is not a sizing error — it’s a feature of the fitted Euro-style design.
We strongly recommend checking the Size Guide and comparing against a shirt you already own.
Go ahead, state the obvious: Organic = More Expensive. It costs more to feel better. That’s just how it is.
The Bottom Line:
The Light Weight Shirt: A lightweight-feel tee at a decent price — smooth, soft, and made for everyday wear in warmer weather. A thinner fabric that works the best of our 3 options on holiday.
The Heavyweight Shirt: Want something with weight? This is it. You trade off fabric smoothness for fabric weight. You get a thick, structured cotton with a solid, vintage-style cut.
The Premium Organic Shirt: A closer fit with a premium, eco-friendly feel. Costs more but you get a softer cotton, modern cut, and cleaner lines.
Each style is purpose-built — we’ve made the differences easy to compare, so you can choose what fits your needs best.
